President's Welcome

It gives me great joy to welcome you to Fenwick High School, a Catholic college preparatory high school rooted in the Dominican pillars of prayer, study, community and preaching.

We are sponsored by the Dominican Friars (Order of Preachers) from the Province of St. Albert the Great. Our inspiration comes from the preaching of Saint Dominic, the teaching of Saint Thomas Aquinas, the leadership of Saint Catherine of Siena, the collaborative service of Saint Martin de Porres and Saint Rose of Lima, and the artistry of Blessed Fra Angelico. Since Fenwick’s founding in 1929, we have equipped young people with the tools necessary for successful, meaningful and faith-filled lives. In this, we continue to rely on a dedicated and highly credentialed faculty—men and women, lay and religious—who are committed to forming the next generation of society’s leaders.

As they carry out their responsibilities, I encourage the faculty to make the following prayer their own:

Lord,

Enable me to teach with wisdom for I help to shape the mind.
Equip me to teach with truth for I help to shape the conscience.
Encourage me to teach with vision for I help to shape the future.
Empower me to teach with love for I help to shape the world.

Wisdom, truth, vision, and love: as more and more people receive these gifts, our world will be transformed for the good of all.
